Tony C. Fritz took charge of his career when he became a franchisee

Why did you become a franchisee?
After being involved in two major business sectors over the last decade – the financial sector, followed by the energy sector – I was fortunate enough to witness significant market crashes in both industries. After the second market crash, I decided to put my plan in motion to look for other alternatives to making a living. This led me to explore a lifelong dream to own and operate my own business. I wanted to be in the driver’s seat and control my own destiny, rather than have someone do it for me.

How did you learn about your franchise and what made you choose it?
I learned about through my most recent home search and seeing the round signs on the ground. After looking at a few properties on, I started to look a little deeper into the company itself. When I learned that they were a franchise system, I decided to inquire about the business opportunity. Always having an interest in real estate, and starting my own business (franchising in particular), it was a no-brainer!

What do you love most about being a franchisee?
I love the independence of working on my own, and building my own business. I love all of the people I get to meet, and new connections I get to make everyday. Great customers, fellow franchisees, and an excellent support staff from head office. I’m definitely a people person, so it’s a win-win in my books!

What are your top three tips for success? 
Like starting up any business, it involves taking a leap of faith, and putting in a lot of hard work. However, the rewards of doing so make everything worthwhile.
